    • Are you serious? Does Japan seriously have nothing better to spend money on?

      D:

      [Reply]

      • Latrans

You sound like there’s something out there that money is better spent on.

In other words, no, Japan doesn’t have anything better to spend money on because this is just THAT AWESOME!

        [Reply]

        • There’s nothing wrong with spending money on Awesome. Cooler than a battle of who has the tallest building.

        • do you read the news? Nothing better to spend money on? Wake up kiddo..

          [Reply]

        • Speed23

yeah but japan is well enough off to spend some money on a tourist attraction, theyll make more showin it off then it costs. plus its no better then when we spend money on oh say idk the space needle

          @Speed23

Wait, you’re joking right?! FYI Japan has been in an economic crap-fest for years now -luckily for them our uncontrolled spending has helped relieve them of the industrialized-country-with-the-crappiest-economy-everrrrr title. Which belongs to us now.

          [Reply]

          • JTokyo

Their economy might be in the crapper but nat as bad as in the US. They have something called public health care which apparently americans will never get. Both countries are deeply in debt but Japan’s debt isn’t owned by China. That’s why can they build giant gundam!

            []

      • LA Live

It is better than spending on some memorial event that costed LA over a million dollars. as much as I’m a MJ fan, it was just not worth it. Good Job. This will be on my wish list of places to visit.

Japan puts 0.8% of their GPD into military spending, while the U.S. puts 4.06% of their GPD into military spending.

Or at least that’s what we thought… then we realized the Gundam was real! Oh shit!

        [Reply]

        • anounoumous

what if the us built a real working one but bigger and could go in to space???? we got the military spending to do it?????

          • brumfield

well duh, it will happen. with the technology we have, i wouldnt be suprised if we could make a few of the and send them into space. the government just dont want to spend the damn money. i say, make one, obtain world domination, and make the world live in peace… by force

            []

      • tim

so what if japan spends money for this Ahiru. get over it okay. Everytime something this cool makes news, people like you have to be negative. must be real boring where you live. people like you have to complain about everything don’t you.

Power ranger’s was based in america. But it originators/ Bandai. Was a japaness Logo they used. The only Japanness theam was the weapon’s used. And some of the Zord’s and two of the Mega Zord’s. The Dragon Zord and the White Tiger Zord. Every thing else that was done the fighten and that was all american. Japan only had about a 10% claim in Power ranger’s. But they made up for that for the toy product market. And also that they might have had some idea’s for creating the other zord’s. But Power ranger’s Was 90% American.

As for the GunDam Robot. Very nice. But I feel Transformer’s beat’s it hand’s down. By tran’s forming a 40ft rig into a 120ft robot. impressive. My hat’s is off to Transformer’s Robot’s in disguse.

    [Reply]

    • GUNDAMU

Dude transformers came out first as toys in Japan and Hasbro took interest and took it to the Americas. Power Rangers was based off of a Japanese show. Gundam is classic and who cares about turning a car into a giant robot! They’re all born form SWEEEET JAPAN!
