As if the Yanks invented vans first. The 'pick up' (or as it was originally called, the ute) was made in Geelong, Australia and the van came from JAPAN!

Actually the van was first invented in america. Henry Ford an AMERICAN made the planes for it and never got the chance to proof them but by the time his company was getting better the german V.W.s stole the plans and revolutionized it.

If Yanks are so bad, you might want to avoid using these things invented by the US. Television, powered aircraft, submarines, metal ships, the revolver, motorcycle, machine gun, photographic film, skyscrapers, anything made from Aluminum, the escalator, radio (it was not Marconi...look it up), air conditioning, microwave oven, video games, communication satellites, the LED and LED diusplay, laser, videotape, MRI's, GPS, computer mouse, qwerty keyboard, AC electric motors...you get the idea.

I lived in various places on Honshu and Shikoku Japan for several years. I can tell you that most Japanese think these vans are over the top too. I kind of like them myself. It is like seeing the circus. Colorful, unusual and a little over the top, but artistic expression in its purest form. Would I ever do this to my car? Hell no. But let people express their individuality however they want as long as they are not hurting anyone.
