It’s also fun to see what comes up when you do an “only in [...]” search using other place names. Can you guess where each of the images below are from?

Subway map, only in…?

Car wash, only in…?

Snake wash, only in…?

Convenient emergency services, only in…?

That subway map is DC’s! I live in the area and use it regularly, but I’d never heard of this tattoo! I couldn’t figure out the wording of the image search you used to find it. It’d be interesting to meet the person who had it done.

Ok, a need to check your sources is in order I think.
- The car wash certainly doesn’t look like Japan, also why would they write in English? And the small sign says “$1 bill changer”. This hillbillie scene clearly takes place in the US.
- The kid with the snake wash is a popular image and to my memory it was taken in Thailand or Malaysia.
- Lastly, again the English. Roadsigns in English… And it looks like Australia.
To have a quick Google Image search as basis for an article clearly seems like you are running dry of things to write about.

I read this:

katie: You can find the DC subway map tattoo by searching for “only in London”!
Steven: The bottom 4 images are from outside Japan. You are right about the 2nd one — it’s from the US, but where in the US? You are also correct about the 3rd and 4th ones — they are from Thailand and Australia.

Of course, the car wash is “Only in Texas” !! Where else would you see somebody washing their prize Longhorn?

The shot of the swimming pool looks like how I remember the Hanshin Department Store on New Year’s Eve day…plus water. :P
