The mecha version of the Nissan DUALIS SUV designed by anime creator/mecha designer Shoji Kawamori (Macross) has been spotted in Tokyo. The 3.5 meter tall machine will be on display at the Nissan Gallery (Ginza) from May 23 to June 13 and at the Sony Building (Ginza) from June 25 to July 1. Here are a few videos of the DUALIS Powered Suit in action around town.

Those virals are pretty badly animated... but you HAVE to check out the TV commercials that have crazy lifelike 3d animation. Just wait until you see it leaping from building to building!!! CRA-ZY.

Found a link for the commercials (not the virals) over at what looks like the director's website.

This suite looks nice. But it doesen´t look very real in the videos to me.

It's obvious it's fake. Aside from being rather poorly animated, NO ONE is paying any attention to it. You'd think seeing a giant robot walking down the street would be pretty strange, and not something you'd just shrug off and hardly notice.
