Uniqlo calendar
11 Jun 2009
Casual clothing brand Uniqlo has created the most captivating web calendar ever, featuring a random assortment of stop-motion tilt-shift imagery from locations across Japan and charming background music by Fantastic Plastic Machine. Highly addictive.

I love Uniqlo!!! And yes, this is very addicting, haha~ I love watching the cars and boats go by high-speed!! ;P
It makes me nostalgic, too – the Shinagawa area was where I stayed when I was last in Tokyo. ;__;

I stayed in Shinagawa too, but earlier this year. Love the animations

But isn’t it made! I mean the scenes! They must be copies of the real thing because it looks so unreal! Like it’s made out o clay or something?!?! It looks fishy to me! Anyway I still love it it’s definitely unique!..!

That footage is all real. You’re being fooled by an optical trick called tilt-shifting. It’s a technique that allows you to give the impression of the scene being of tiny miniatures by blurring the foreground and background.

Ahaha wonderful! I was wondering about whether some of the scenes were minatures until I read your comment, Elix – ’tilt shifting’ how awesome is that?
On a side note, LOVE Fantastic Plastic Machine – ever since hearing them in the Louis Vuitton short. :)
