Organizzata dalla compagnia Yoshimoto Kogyo, il colosso giapponese dell’intrattenimento che ha messo in palio un Gran Premio di 500.000 ¥ (3.067 €) per il robot che strapperà la risata più fragorosa, lo scopo della Baka RoboCup è quello di mettere in discussione il concetto moderno di robot, spesso troppo legato ad un’immagine di rigore, freddezza e serietà. Eccovi ad esempio uno dei più riusciti esemplari di robot tonto ed irritante proposti di recente: Push-kun, opera della Robot Force di Osaka, un incrocio tra un droide ed un cestino della pattumiera che è in grado di muoversi, raccogliere oggetti (e fin qui nulla di strano), raccontare barzellette e suonare la batteria su se stesso.
