When I first saw the photos of the soccer house I thought they were just for play, a joke. Wow! They really are usefull even though the design and painting are fanciful. Great for those who live in areas needing safe homes. Kudos.

I am interested in finding out more about these soccer houses. I would like to know the cost, how to build one, etc. I would love to have one in my backyard. It's the perfect size for my kids and for a soccer crazy family line mine.

[...] Al Fin tipped me off to an article by Pink Tentacle about the latest in bomb shelter convenience, called “Barrier.” Barrier is shaped like a soccer ball, and is bulletproof, resistant to earthquake, typhoon, fire, and terrorist attack. It also has two televisions in it. (No word on whether there are video cameras mounted on the outside so you can TiVo the zombie attacks in crystal clear HDTV.) More importantly, there is a smaller “doghouse” model to protect man’s best friend or some cats. [...]

If you have been looking around for a new home or apartment, I have some great news for you. You can live inside of a football. That’s right, for a fairly reasonable price you can buy one of these 32-sided polygons that look like your favorite sport’s ball.
